Last night I was getting out of the shower at about 11:30 pm, when I heard a loud screeching/screaming, it was a loud and very menacing, ear piercing sound. I wrapped a towel around myself, drew the blinds, slid open the screen and popped my towel wrapped head out the window to get a look at what I was hearing.

I hear the car pull up into the driveway; what do I do? Falling to my knees as I slide off the edge of the couch my body scurries to the kitchen. Quickly turning on the water to the sink, I begin washing the last few dishes of the day. Not that I want to wash dirty dishes, I don’t want him to see me in the same seat, in the exact same position that I was in the day before as he arrived home from work. If that should happen would he think of me as a fixture in the house rather then an inhabitant.

Bellowing moans echoed over a heavy flow of water which aroused my scenes, bringing me back to conciseness. My reality instantly muffled by the beating of my own heart. Every nerve in my body screamed discomfort, it hurt to swallow and my eyelashes were sticky and difficult to part.
